BBR Mazda MX-5 ND 2019 on SkyActiv StarChip Remap

BBR is proud to announce solutions for remapping, data logging and fault diagnostics for 2019 on 2.0 184ps and 1.5 Mazda MX-5 ND2 SkyActiv models.

Our ECU tuning solutions include:

i) BBR StarChip

The thoroughly developed and tested ECU remap from BBR. Remapping the current Mazda SkyActiv engine since 2014, we are the first company in the UK to remap the SkyActiv engine and the ND MX-5. Countless hours of  dyno, road, and track testing, and more recently, endurance race testing, have gone into the Mazda SkyActiv StarChip. The torque graph produced with BBR’s remap is visibly smother than stock for both 1.5 and 2.0 variants, showing increases in power throughout the entire rev range. Cam and ignition timing as well as fueling (AFR’s) have been optimised throughout the entire rev range, throttle limits removed at higher RPM and the rev range extended delivering optimum safe performance gains. Throttle response is greatly improved, making the 2019 on SkyActiv equipped Mazda a far more willing, eager and exciting car to drive. Equipped with BBR’s new fuel map, the car is more economical than standard when driven in a ‘like for like’ manner.

ii) DIY - BBR StarChip with Programming Kit 

Customers can now elect to reprogram their own Mada SkyActiv using BBR’s new programming kit. The kit is supplied as a package, which includes all the necessary software and hardware to enable DIY upload of BBR developed SkyActiv StarChip ECU remaps. The programming kit can also be used for diagnostics and data logging enabling BBR to remotely custom tune to your vehicle! It is a powerful tool that allows users to fault find and clear fault codes on their Mazda, saving them costly and inconvenient visits to Mazda dealers. This package includes your original standard SkyActiv ECU file (ROM) in the unlikely event that you wish to return your vehicle to stock trim.

NOTE: The Programming Kit does not allow ROM file viewing or editing. It is a data logging and programming tool only. Please supply full details of your vehicle (model, model year and engine type) when ordering.

For the complete hardware, software and BBR StarChip ROM file package. We will refund £100 should customers choose to return the hardware in good unmarked condition once BBR’s StarChip has been installed.
