The long awaited ultimate forced induction package for the 2.0 MX-5 ND2 - Product release March 2025

BBR has extensive experience of turbocharging MX-5 engines since the late 1980’s, this latest development completes our portfolio of turbo upgrades for four generations of Mazda’s iconic sportscar.

The key element of the BBR Stage 2 turbo upgrade above Stage 1 are modifications to the fuel system - full details will be given at time of release (far from an injector or fuel pump change). With the OEM (higher RPM) fuel limitations removed the twin-scroll turbocharger is free to breath! Electronic boost control is added to slightly increase the boost pressure as RPM increases, carefully limiting the peak torque increase.

Cleverly designed to install without intrusive mechanical or body alterations, the BBR Stage 1 turbocharger upgrade is straightforward to fit and reverse should clients wish to revert their car to standard or transfer the conversion at any time.

 

The Stage Two BBR MX-5 ND2 turbo conversion includes all of the parts listed in BBR Stage One conversion With the addition of :-

  • BBR Fuel System
  • BBR Electronic Boost Control
  • Forge Motorsport Intercooler

March 2025 release - At this power level a full BBR 2.5" exhaust system with solid flywheel conversion and stage one clutch will be required
