As a consequence diligent testing by BBR has resulted in a pair of camshaft profiles with unique lift and timing specifications that are a direct replacement for the standard 2.5 Duratec items. No longer longer is the 2.5 a unrewarding non sports car engine to drive, standard there is little point in exceeding 6500RPM, with our camshafts the difference is astonishing.
BBR's 2.5 Duratec camshaft profiles deliver strong gains from just above 3000 rpm throughout the entire rev range. Zero torque loss at low RPM and staggering 30BHP power gains above 7000RPM. MX-5. With a free-flowing exhaust system approximately 207 bhp is realistic, whilst retaining decent idle and emissions characteristics for everyday use.
